

Fabrication of a Steel Base Plate for a Hydraulic Pump

Our services are heavily utilized by the hydraulics industry, exemplified by the project detailed here. Our client contracted us to fabricate a steel base plate used for mounting a pump. Using A-36 steel, we employed much of our state-of-the-art equipment for this job. This included our laser cutter, press brake, saw, machining center, welders, and powder coating room & oven. A wide range of processes were employed to fabricate the finished plate which measured 50" in length, 30" in width, and was held to tightest tolerances of ±0.010". We ensured that this steel base plate met the highest quality standards with in-depth visual and dimensional inspections. This pump mount, which can be used for hydraulics and water applications, is now a commonly used component. We manufacture anywhere from 1 to 100 of these plates for our customer in Minnesota, which are completed and delivered in a turnaround time of just 4 weeks.
